Week 3 Visiting the company Bacher Innovation
Today we made an excursion to the company Bacher Innovation in Rheinberg. The owner of the company, led us to a brief welcome and briefing in his field of work.
About Bache Inovation:
The knitting company Bache already exists in the fourth generation and was founded in 1927 by Otto Bache in Apolda / Thuringia, the former German knitting stronghold.
The company's current location is Rheinberg, the brand "Stick Bache" made a name for itself with women's outerwear.
In 2005, Thorsten Bache took over the company and converted it into a GmbH. Today the company is called "Bache Innovative"
The machine capacity now includes 19 computer-controlled flat knitting machines. Which can be seen in the following pictures.
Even older traditional machines are still used, this one knits ribbons for caps or belts
On the following pictures you can see how the machines are built from the inside and how they work.
The fine needles and hoes systematically work their way through alternately. Here you can also see how the threads are clamped. The following pictures also show the displays and settings
Here we can see the results of the knitted work of the machines. This is going to be a sweater
The production area has been expanded to include technical knits: as you can see in the following pictures, threads made of fiberglass, conductive materials or even stone threads are used.
Here you can see a drain pipe which can be repaired with a knitted cuff. The material is later compounded with a kind of glue and thus seals the broken point in the pipe.
Here are some finished pieces that were made. So that nothing can be copied, the knit pieces are only shown from close.
The last room of the guide is the sewing room here, the individual parts are sewn together and completed.
